New Visions for Public Schools
New Visions for Public Schools is a non-profit organization focused on improving public schools in New York City. Their mission centers around removing barriers to success for students of color and low-income backgrounds. The Portal, a web application, centralizes critical information about students in one place. Educators can create individualized student plans, monitor progress towards goals, and receive alerts if a student starts to fall behind.
How I spent my time
I joined New Visions in 2020 as a Lead Product Designer, where I have spent the last four years expanding the design team, fostering stronger collaboration between design and engineering, and driving the development of features across all product verticals. Throughout this time, I have continued to champion our design team and focus on product and process improvements.

- Created first career ladder for product designers
- Supported in the platform redesign and related design system upgrade
- Designed and built first landing page for application

Upstream Tech
Upstream Tech is a mission-driven climate tech company focused on developing software solutions to aid in environmental decision-making. Upstream develops 2 products. Lens, a remote monitoring platform that has expanded access to satellite and aerial imagery and supports the protection and management of more than 70 million acres around the world. HydroForecast, the most accurate forecast of river flow operationally available.
How I spent my time
During my time at Upstream as a Product Designer I focused on new feature additions to Lens, and worked on some of the iterations of HydroForecast. I also designed and built the marketing site at the time.

- Designing the land comparison feature
- Designing and building the marketing site with NextJS

SageAI
SageAI builds a suite of customer support tools integrated with natural language processing and machine learning features to improve the speed and quality of service. SageTalk, the flagship tool, focuses on allowing organizations of all sizes offer a productive and cost-efficient way help their customers.
How I spent my time
I joined SageAI as a Design Engineer, spending my time on both product design and front-end development. I designed the chat interface as well as the admin dashboard to manage the conversation routing. I built the corresponding React components in partnership with the backend engineers

- Designed a solution to easily manage am expandable decision tree
- Built and animated the chat widget opening and closing experience

Questex
Questex is an information services and events company. They focus on bring people together in wide variety of industries. They primarily serve B2B audiences, offering live events, digital communities, market insights, and educational opportunities. As a parent company to multiple brands, Questex builds and maintains media platforms, event websites, and online educational systems for all its holdings.
How I spent my time
I started at Questex as Designer, focusing on creating marketing materials and iterating on the features of a learning management system. During my time at Questex I was promoted to Art Director, and was responsible for the redesign of our core products, including a content management system for a suite of online news publications and a learning management system. During this time I also hired and managed a small team of designers.
What I'm proud of
- Redesigned content management system for network of over 15 media sites
- Designed first set of mobile friendly platforms for the org
- Designed learning management system with a flexible branding solution that allowed it to be leveraged by future partners
